The Amundi Evian Championship, one of the five women's Grand Slam golf tournaments, the only one on the European continent, men and women combined, reveals the highlights of its 2022 edition which will return to the major course of the Evian Resort Golf Club from 21 to July 24 next.

The increase in the prize-money, brought to 6,5 million dollars, will offer an endowment of one million dollars for the winner - a symbolic marker in women's sport - and a distribution on the whole of the plateau which passes, him , to 132 players.

Since its creation in 1994, The Amundi Evian Championship has constantly affirmed its ambition to promote the performance of women in sport and participate in the development of women's golf.

This is the meaning of the dynamics of the evolution of prize-money in which the Tournament has been committed for a long time thanks to the support of its Club of Sponsors, in the first ranks of which Amundi, Rolex, Danone and evian®; an impulse shared by all the major women's major tournaments in the world. The LPGA also announced, last November, through its director Mollie Marcoux Samaan, a record distribution of $ 90 million for the 2022 season.

This endowment of 6,5 million dollars is accompanied by a new distribution of the prize-money among the players: The Amundi Evian Championship has made the double choice of devoting the talent of its winner with a record check of one million dollars , but also to extend the distribution of its endowment to all of the 132 players at the start of the tournament.

For its 2022 edition, The Amundi Evian Championship affirms its credo loud and clear: “Players first”! Through a poetic composition, all the players are suggested and celebrated by the attitudes of the champion of the 2021 edition of the Major, Minjee Lee. A tribute to all these great players, to their talent and fighting spirit in particular, and more broadly to the sporting performance of women.

As with the lodges erected around the course, the structures are lighter and favor natural materials such as wood to better integrate into the landscape. A central square, a real heart of life, hosts various take-away catering offers, a bar and terraces. The Spectators Village will also offer golf events and the official shops with an embroidery workshop to personalize tournament souvenirs.
