The Korean also snagged three more top-10s at the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions (T7), Gainbridge LPGA in Boca Rio (5th) and Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G (T5).

"It's great, because Paul and I have worked hard and have had great results this year", said Kim, who was named Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year in 2015. “I am very grateful to everyone around me like my parents, then my trainer, Mr. Moon, and yes, my family. Yeah, I'm very grateful to everyone. "

Inbee Park came second behind Kim in the Rolex Player of the Year ranking, earning 112 points. In 2020, Park won the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open and finished the year with another seven top 10 results out of 13 appearances including three finalists, at the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions, KPMG Women's PGA Championship and Volunteers of America Classic. Danielle Kang was third in points with 87, after two LPGA Drive On Championship wins - Inverness Club and LPGA Classic Marathon presented by Dana with three top-10s from 13 starts.

The prestigious Rolex Player of the Year award was first presented by the LPGA in 1966. Female LPGA Tour players receive points for each official tournament on the American Tour on the basis of the top 10 places, the highest score winning the prestigious honor every year. Points are doubled for each of the five LPGA Grand Slam lifts - ANA Inspiration, KPMG Women's PGA Championship, US Women's Open, AIG Women's Open and Evian Championship.
