The PGA Tour presented this week a historic meeting of the Tour: the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Five years after the death of the seven-time major winner, Bay Hill continues to host this great event in memory of the champion. The Bay Hill course, one of Tiger Woods' favorite stomping grounds with eight wins, is a new test for players.

After seeing Rory McIlroy take the lead in the first round with a card of 65 (-7), then Viktor Hovland return a card of 66 (-6) on Friday to place himself at the top of the leaderboard, it is finally Scottie Scheffler who finished on the top step of the podium. The 2021 Ryder Cup-winning American returned cards of 70-73-68-72 to win a shot ahead of the trio Tyrell Hatton, Viktor Hovland and Billy Horshel. The Norwegian narrowly misses the play-off with a bogey on the par three of 17.

Scottie Scheffler adds to his record his second victory after the Waste Management Phoenix Open, won a month ago. He succeeds Bryson DeChambeau, winner of the event last year. This second victory of the season allows him to take the lead in the FedEx Cup ahead of Hideki Matsuyama. He also gained a place in the world rankings and reached his best ranking in 5th position.

Viktor Hovland, with this place of runner-up, takes over the third place in the world from Patrick Cantlay. Jon Rahm remains world number 1.

Paul Barjon, the only Frenchman involved in this event, did not pass the Cut with cards of 76 (+4) and 83 (+11).
