After finishing in the top 20 of the US Open and winning the Travelers Championship, Xander Schauffele is surfing on his current form and signs a card of 64 (-8) on the course of Adare Manor Hotel & Golf Resort and takes the lead of this JP McManus Pro-Am. He is three strokes ahead of Rickie Fowler. Tiger Woods despite an eagle, returns a card of 77 (+5) and occupies the last places of the leaderboard.

A few days before the Genesis Scottish Open, a tournament sanctioned by the PGA Tour and the DP WorldTour, followed a week later by the British Open, many of the best players in the world are stopping over in Ireland this week for the JP McManus Pro- Am. Players are paired with three amateurs for two rounds at the Adare Manor Hotel & Golf Resort.

In great shape over the past few weeks, Xander Schauffele continues his momentum by signing a card of 64 (-8), eight birdies. Despite prestigious victories on the PGA Tour and appearances in the Ryder Cup, Xander Schauffele has never won a major tournament, his best place being a podium at the 2019 Masters, 2nd.

He is three strokes ahead of Rickie Fowler. Tyrell Hatton takes third place with a -4 card.

We find the Irish in fourth position with Shane Lowry and Seamus Power returning -3 cards.

Justin Thomas winner of the PGA Championship 2022 and Northern Irishman Rory McIlroy are 12th with cards of -1.

Tiger Woods for his return after several weeks off will have had a difficult day despite a few strokes of genius. After a difficult first leg in +5, the Tiger signs his first birdie on the 10th then returns a chip for an eagle on the par 5 of the 12th hole. He returns to the clubhouse with a card of 77 (+5), 43rd in the standings.

A player, a little stunned, unfortunately could not sign his card. Jordan Spieth, three-time major winner, must have forgotten the rules of the competition. Playing with his amateur partners, the former world number 1 picked up his ball on hole 14, thinking that his score was not counted: however, he forgot the individual professional ranking! This blunder therefore disqualified him from the individual classification, but his team still competes in the team classification.
