Rendez-vous in France, which takes place on March 27 and 28, 2018, the first international BtoB trade fair for French tourism, is making its return to Paris, Porte de Versailles. The opportunity for French professionals to fill their order book with some 1 tour operators from 950 countries and thus consolidate the increase in attendance of international visitors observed in 69.

In 2018, Atout France reiterates the organization of its most important event dedicated to the marketing of the French tourist offer in partnership with the Paris Tourist and Convention Office and the Paris Regional Tourism Committee.

947 tour operators from five continents and 37 journalists from the international professional press are expected. For two days, business meetings will follow each other every 20 minutes at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles (24 meetings are organized).

As Christian Mantei, CEO of Atout France points out: In a highly competitive context marked by the resumption of tourist traffic in France, the show represents a unique opportunity for the 750 French exhibiting companies to promote and sell their products to a panel of highly qualified international buyers.

Appointment in France is also an opportunity for French destinations to showcase their tourist assets. Thirteen regions mobilized to welcome more than 13 tour operators a few days before the show as part of 350 educational tours.

750 French tourism professionals, managers of tourist sites, hotel facilities, service companies, promotion organizations, etc. are gathered on more than 10 m² of exhibition space. Holding the show in Paris generated a strong participation of participants from Ile-de-France (300 exhibitors).

An increasingly international event

The work of Atout France's offices abroad makes it possible to mobilize several hundred tour operators from around the world for the Rendez-vous in France exhibition.

947 tour operators from 69 countries are registered and will meet French professionals.

  • Europe: 490 tour operators (499 in 2017)
  • Africa, Asia, Oceania: 240 tour operators (208 in 2017) from South Africa, Nigeria, Australia, China, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, India, etc.
  • North & South America: 173 tour operators (143 in 2017) from the United States, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Panama and Mexico.
  • Near and Middle East: 44 tour operators (42 in 2017) from Israel, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Kuwait, etc.

Please note: this year the show displays a strong mobilization of international buyers from the asian and american markets.

On the Asian side, the Japanese are making a comeback with 62 tour operators against 50 last year, the Indian delegation goes from 29 to 35 tour operators and the Thais from 4 to 8.

For the Americas, the American delegation (69 tour operators against 53 in 2017) and the Mexican delegation (14 tour operators against 7 in 2017) experienced significant growth.

More and more qualified meetings

To facilitate their participation, a dedicated website allows tour operators to identify themselves and qualify their request. By specifying the services and destinations they usually schedule and those they wish to schedule tomorrow, tour operators are easily identified by exhibitors (and vice versa) to guarantee efficient meetings.
