The first two days of the new 72-hole individual strokeplay tournament will take place alternately, followed by a cut on the 36th hole for the top 45 players and tied for each circuit, which will then be matched in order of the scores of the two. last laps, to win the grand prize.

The LET ACCESS SERIES is the official development circuit of the Ladies European Tour and the event builds on the success of recent innovations such as the Jordan Mixed Open, the European Mixed Golf Team Championships and the Lalla Meryem Cup, which was the first tournament bringing together men and women at the same competition venue.

Di Barnard, director of the LETAS circuit, said: “We are delighted to be a partner of the ALPS TOUR for the Saint-Malo Golf Mixed Open. It will be an exciting prospect for players from both circuits to compete on the same golf course. The course put in place will be very well taken into account so that the competition is balanced and an exciting test for these talented competitors. We have seen over the past few months the interest in mixed events and the fierce competition for sports sponsorships, this unique format meets the highest expectations. I would like to thank Mr. Serge Raulic for his support and foresight in hosting this event at the magnificent Saint-Malo Golf Resort. "

Estelle Richard, General Manager and Director of Operations of the ALPS TOUR, said: “We are delighted with this new format for the fourth edition of the Saint-Malo Golf Mixed Open and the first collaboration with the LET ACCESS SERIES. After three years of existence as an event of the ALPS TOUR, the tournament takes up a new challenge and becomes a unique opportunity for our golfers to face the golfers on the same course, with a special device for this occasion which they ensures the best possible show. We would like to thank Mr. Serge Raulic, the Golf de Saint-Malo and all the sponsors who have agreed to accompany us in this new adventure. "

Serge Raulic, owner and president of Saint Malo Golf Resort, said: “We welcome with great pleasure this fourth edition of a European professional tournament of the ALPS TOUR and the originality of the event this year, with the participation of the LETAS players, promises a magnificent sporting spectacle. There are few sports that allow this mixed confrontation in the same event and for the same classification and I can't wait to see the power of men's golf against the finesse of women's golf. The course will be superb and selective thanks to the work of our team and the ever-warm atmosphere. May the best win ! "

LET ACCESS SERIES 2018 Order of Merit winner Emma Nilsson, who will be competing in the tournament, said: “It will be very nice to play alongside the men in the same tournament and it looks like a beautiful place. I participated in the European Mixed Team Championship in Gleneagles last year and it was a great experience. I think it's good to try new formats. I will do my best to represent women's golf well. "

Last year's LET ACCESS SERIES Rookie of the Year, Emie Peronnin, commented: “In the last few weeks we've had a few events where the women have put on incredible performances against the men. I mean Meghan MacLaren almost won in Jordan and Nuria Iturrios got a better Lalla Meryem Cup score than the Hassan II Men's Golf Trophy winner, so I think it's good to have a double event where we can compare ourselves to men and show that we play as well and that we can produce spectacular golf too. I am also looking forward to playing against male players. I know a lot of people on the ALPS TOUR, a lot of friends of mine who play on the ALPS TOUR. Sometimes I even play with them in friendlies so I can't wait to see who will be on the pitch and see if I can get a better score than them. "
