Pauline Roussin-Bouchard ranks eighth with a card of 67 (-4). Agathe Laisné is one shot behind, 13th at -3.

In Palos Verdes, California, an Australian takes charge. Minjee Lee returns the best card of the first day with a 63 (-8). Her eight birdies allow her to take a lead over the Korean world number 1 Jin Young Ko. The double winner in major, starting from hole 10, passes her first nine holes in -1. She will sign six birdies of ranks on her return for a final card of 64 (-7).

Pauline Roussin-Bouchard takes eighth position in this first round of the Palos Verdes Championship presented by Bank of America. She returns a card of 67 (-4), five birdies for a single bogey. She takes 66% of greens in regulation but makes 26 putts!

Agathe Laisné is one step behind Pauline Roussin-Bouchard in 13th position. She returns a card of 68 (-3), five birdies for two bogeys. She is thus five shots from the head.

Perrine Delacour ranks 79th after the first lap. She returns a card of 72 (+1) despite four birdies, the fault of a difficult passage between 9 and 12: bogey, par, bogey, double bogey.

Céline Boutier returns a card of 73 (+2) during this first turn. She signs three birdies for three bogeys and a double bogey. She takes 72% of greens in regulations but her putting will have been at half mast with 33 putts. She ranks 97th.
