Romain Langasque elected Golfer of the month for June 2015
The objective of the Golf Trophies is to continue to promote the sporting development of French golf all year round, and to arouse the interest of golf fans and the media for golfers who obtain results.
On July 6, a select jury of the Golf Trophies selected three French golfers who achieved the best performances in June:
- Céline Boutier (amateur) for his victory at the British Ladies Amateur
- Sebastien Gros (pro) for his victory at the Najeti Open (European Challenge Tour)
- Romain Langasque (amateur) for his victory at the British Amateur
The Golfer of June
Internet users had a week to elect the winner on www.tropheesdugolf.fr et www.lequipe.fr/Golf/.
Romain Langasque obtained just over 50% of 1 votes cast and thus became the Golfer of the month for June.
His victory at the British Amateur gives him access to The Open Championship, the 3rd Major tournament of the season which takes place from Thursday at the Royal & Ancient Golf Club in St Andrews, near Edinburgh (Scotland). He joined the 4 other qualified French (Victor Dubuisson, Alexander Lévy, Raphaël Jacquelin and Romain Wattel).
Romain Langasque is also invited to the second edition of the Golf Trophies which will take place at 1er 2016 quarter.
