Renaissance Hotels, the brand synonymous with helping the next generation of travelers looking for unexpected cultural experiences, has just opened its 6th Parisian hotel. Near the Marais and the Saint Martin Canal, the Renaissance République, an establishment dedicated to traveling artists, is ideal for exploring the City of Lights with style and elegance.

Inspired by the bohemian soul of the République district, the hotel was designed by the famous interior decorator Didier Gomez, known for his creations for Yves Saint Laurent, LVMH and De Beers among others. The interior spaces bring a contemporary vision with exotic woods and tanned leather contrasted with contemporary illustrations in the rooms and common areas. The design of Gomez, a refined melting pot with today's Paris, includes intercultural features: an African sculpture in the entrance hall, Asian furniture in the rooms and Parisian street art. In his design, Gomez brought elements of outdoor nature with tree patterns in the rooms, cloud-shaped ceiling lights and a sublime green wall on the hotel terrace.

The Renaissance hotels recently announced their new philosophy, "Ultimate chic", in which the design of each hotel is imbued with indigenous characteristics and a traveler spirit to encourage guests to explore the surroundings and discover the unknown.

“The current generation of business travelers aspires to discovery and travel. We are delighted to add the Renaissance Republic to our portfolio of Paris, the city where the Renaissance hotels have been very well received, to allow our guests to discover this prosperous district Said Amy McPherson, President and CEO of Marriott International, Europe.

The bedrooms

The 121 rooms have been inspired by local art workshops and are made of natural wood and earthy tones that complement the modern brightness titled "Art and Floritude" by Tom Dixon. In addition, vintage furniture by Jean Prouvet and Charlotte Perriand reflects the unusual heritage of the hotel.

“We designed the Renaissance Republic with the local community in mind, first and foremost. We wanted to create a neighborhood destination because we think this is what today's generation of travelers is looking for when staying at a hotel, ” explains Gomez. “The hotel has a high-low design approach that includes high-end luxury touches in a harmonious way with bright surfaces. These contemporary elements, inspired by the local culture, are permeated among the great spaces of the hotel in order to captivate the locals and guests and create moments of discovery ”.

With six ranges of rooms available, the Renaissance République offers the largest hotel spaces in the city. The hotel's greatest pride is the Penthouse Suite with private terrace and jacuzzi, an outdoor cinema and a sublime view of the north of Paris and the Sacré-Coeur Basilica in Montmartre.

In addition to the Parisian charm, guests can discover the final touches of Renaissance hotels that arouse curiosity, fuel the imagination and awaken the senses of the hosts, including vintage bicycles so that hosts can discover Paris and gift kits in the bedrooms.
