Kim Hyo-Joo, winner in 2014 of “The Evian Championship”, won Sunday the first event of the season, the Pure Silk-Bahamas Classic, counting for the LPGA. Karine Icher, the only Frenchwoman involved, finished far from the lead in 54th position.

Kim Hyo-Joo won this Sunday the first event of the season on the women's professional circuit (LPGA), the Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic, Sunday in Paradise Island (Bahamas).

The 20-year-old South Korean won her first title in 2014 and not just any, the last major of the season “The Evian Championship”. She signs here her third career victory thanks to a final card of 66, (- 7) for a total of 274 (-18), ahead of the American Stacy Lewis, the Swedish title holder Anna Nordqvist as well as her compatriot Kim Sei -young, tied for 2nd, two lengths (276).
"My goal during this first event of the season was to finish in the top 10", she said.
