Although most circuits and world golf authorities (USGA, PGA Tour, to name a few) are against the development of LIV Golf, the LPGA Tour and its director Marcoux Samaan do not exclude a possible collaboration between the American women's circuit and the project of Greg Norman.

Possible alliance between LIV Golf and the LPGA Tour?

Rumors and discussions around the LIV Golf league continue to increase, especially as the circuits have in recent weeks made concrete the threats of sanctions.

The LPGA Tour has however decided to break the ice by not closing the door to a collaboration with the new league. The director of the LPGA Tour, Marcoux Samaan said last week during The Amundi Evian Championship, to a reporter from the London Times:
"It's my responsibility to evaluate every opportunity […] I would like to engage the conversation if they want to achieve the same goal as us which is the promotion of women's golf […] There are many factors to consider before doing business with LIV Golf. »

We also know that the authorities in Saudi Arabia pay attention to women's golf, supporting the tournaments called “Aramco Team Series” on the Ladies European Tour and are therefore not insensitive to the desire for development of the LPGA Tour.

Although women's golf is booming with an increase year after year in prize money, sponsors and television broadcasts, it is still far below men's golf. An alliance between the LPGA Tour and LIV Golf could therefore suit both parties, one gaining visibility as well as endowment and the other having the best players in the world on its events.
