After the coronation of Scottie Scheffler during the masters tournament, the PGA Tour returns this week one for the RBC Heritage, historic tournament of the PGA Tour. It arrives on the calendar every year, the week after the Masters. The RBC Heritage was created in 1969 and crowned Arnold Palmer for its first edition. The biggest names in golf then followed one another on the list with the victories of Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson and Greg Norman. To date, the most successful in this event remains Davis Love III with five victories in 1987,1991,1992,1998 and 2003.

The title holder is Stewart Cink. Already winner of the event in 2000 and 2004, he put an end to 11 years without a win last year by winning four strokes ahead of Emiliano Grillo and Harold Varner III. His last title dated back to 2009, and the greatest victory of his career, the British Open 2009, after a historic playoff against Tom Watson then 59 years old.

The world number 1 will not be present during this week in South Carolina. Five members of the world's top 10 will still take part in the event:

– Collin Morikawa, again world number 2, and recent fifth in the Masters
– Cameron Smith, one of the men in form at the start of the season, third in the Masters.
– Patrick Cantlay, winner of the FedEx Cup 2021.
– Justin Thomas 2017 USPGA winner and former world number 1
– Dustin Johnson, two-time major winner and former world number 1

Other great players in world golf will be present such as Billy Horshel, Jordan Spieth, Shane Lowry and Kevin Na.
