With eight birdies for no bogey, Irish Leona Maguire takes the lead in the Pelican Women's Championship with a 62 (-8). She is two strokes ahead of her first chaser Sei Young Kim. Céline Boutier is 23rd at -2 and Perrine Delacour is 51st in the PAR.

This week we find the LPGA circuit in Florida at the Pelican Golf Club located in the small town of Belleair.

This is the second edition of this tournament to have been added to the LPGA calendar in 2020. The defending champion is Korean Sei Young Kim.

After the first lap, Irish Leona Maguire takes the lead in this event. A card without a single error and with eight birdies allows him to make a 62 (-8). She takes a two-stroke lead over her first chaser who is none other than the defending champion of the Pelican Women's Championship: Sei Young Kim. The Korean scored 64 (-6), four birdies and an eagle on the par 5 of hole 14.

Behind her, we find seven players in third position at -5. Among them, four players of the American Solheim Cup team are classified at -5: Lexi Thompson, Jennifer Kupcho, Danielle Kang and world number 1 Nelly Korda.

Two French women are entered in this Pelican Women's Championship. 

Céline Boutier is in 23rd place on the leaderboard. With two birdies, an eagle and two bogeys, she returns a card of 68 (-2).

Two shots behind her, we find Perrine Delacour. Starting from tee 10, she signed a birdie, a bogey and a double bogey for a passage in +2 on her first nine holes. She starts her comeback with a birdie and then a bogey. An eagle on hole 7 (her sixteenth hole) allows her to return to the PAR and sign a card of 70. She is 51st.
