Pauline Roussin-Bouchard is off to a strong start in the Aramco Team Series. 2nd as a team at -18 and 4th individually thanks to a superb 67 (-5), behind theAmerican Jessica Korda who is in control on both fronts individually, with an exceptional 61 (-11) and as a team at -19.

Pauline Roussin-Bouchard made a very good start with an excellent 67 (-5) after 18 holes, six birdies against a small bogey on the 3rd hole, to climb to fourth position in the individual ranking.

The player of the St Laurent Golf Team also performed in teams, at -18 alongside  Jana Melichova et Mim Sangkapong and their lover Ana Luisa Hernández, they are second at a team length Jessica korda.

“We had a great day, our amateur Ana played amazing and she really helped us. We had well-timed birdies on just about every hole, it was exciting, it was fun and it was a really good day for all of us. " said Pauline.

The incredible Jessica korda took down the course and posted a huge score of 61 (-11) for the first day of theAramco Team Series - Sotogrande to take the lead in the individual classification, five strokes ahead of the first pursuers, Manon DeRoey et Pia babnik and six out Pauline Roussin-Bouchard and her sister Nelly.

The six-time winner of the circuit LPGA scored three eagles and six birdies against a small bogey on the 8. On his way to a new course record and tying the lowest lap (par) of the Ladies European Tour (LET).

"It was a great round," said the player from Solheim cup. “We had a great atmosphere in the group and so obviously I was really relaxed.

"It's probably the first round I've played in three weeks with no 20mph wind, so it was really nice to be able to settle in on the course. I've never done three eagles in one game, so I will definitely remember this one!.

"I still bogeyed while playing in the obstacle, so I wouldn't say every aspect of the game was working," continued Jessica korda. “I stayed in the game and gave myself opportunities converting a lot.

“Over the last month and the change I think I haven't really converted any putts and the floodgates have opened today and hopefully they can continue tomorrow and that's the beauty of golf. »

In the team competition, Team Pace and Team Ciganda are tied for fourth place on 16 under par with four teams one stroke behind.

The second round will start on Friday at 8 am (local time) and will see the conclusion of the team event.

For other committed French women

Anne-Lise Caudal et Celine Herbin are in 17th position and render a card of 70 (-2). two double-bogeys and six birdies. .

Agathe Sauzon is 30th (by) and Emma Grechi is 51st (+1) whileAnne-Charlotte Mora et Charlotte Liautier (+2, 68th) are just on the edge of the cut. It was much more complicated for Manon Gidali (+14, 108th).
