Have you been playing golf for over 30 years?

After the death of my husband, at 60 I wanted to start another life. I had played a lot of tennis until that age with him in particular, at a high level.

You are a member of the Golf International Barrière la Baule. What do you like about this Club?

It is superb. This is one of the assets of La Baule which is a very sporty resort. The new director is dynamic, the Club House friendly.

Do you have a favorite hole?

I love them all. The 36! They each have their own character, their difficulties to overcome.

Did you pass on the passion for golf to Edouard?

At four I introduced him to tennis - it was easy, the lessons being right in front of our house. At eight I took him to golf and he immediately loved this setting, this game… We often played nine holes together.

Have you been classified?

I have played up to three times a week but have never competed. I only took ten lessons. I was playing around 26.

What qualities do you find essential for playing golf well?

Precision, persistence, patience, mind.

You played until last year, at 92!

I still practice. And what makes me happy is that the succession is assured. I have eight grandchildren, soon to be a fifth great grandchild. They are all athletic. Maybe one day there will be a champion or .. a champion of golf among them! And more and more young women are playing golf and that's good.
