Paula Creamer retired from the Bank of Hope Founders Cup on Tuesday. Creamer posted a brief statement on Instagram announcing his decision to withdraw from the event. She didn't give a reason for her absence from this week's tournament, but she was optimistic about a quick return to the tour.

“Unfortunately, I had to retire from the Founders Cup this week,” Paula Creamer said on social media. “I am hopeful to return to competition soon. I want to thank everyone for all these words of encouragement and support. "

Twelve months ago, Creamer made his return to competition at the Founders Cup after undergoing wrist surgery during the off-season. In 2018, the ten-time LPGA champion struggled to make the top 10 during the year. The veteran made three starts in 2019, her best result being T68 at the Honda LPGA Thailand.
