Among them, we will find the local headliner in the person of Strasbourg Jade SCHAEFFER, double winner on the Ladies European Tour. We will also welcome Caroline AFONSO, winner in 2010 of the GENERALI Ladies Tour, as well as Cassandra Kirkland, winner in 2012 of the Chinese Open on the LET. As for foreigners, we can count on the best players in LETAS including the Swedish trio composed of the proets Lina BOQVIST (2nd), Isabella RAMSAY (3rd) and Emma Nilsson (4th).

This GENERALI Open in Strasbourg will also be an opportunity to follow young French amateur players with a promising future. Among them, it will be necessary to keep an eye on Marion VEYSSERE (4th in national merit amateur lady), Elise GENOUX (11th) or the very young Eva GILLY (15 years), 2nd in merit young amateur girl.

20140923_Generali_02With 2 components this year, the new version of the GENERALI Ladies Tour offers a more substantial endowment (€ 30 instead of € 000) and a cut set at 25 players.

A good opportunity for the elite of female golf to rub shoulders with the selective course of the Golf Club of Strasbourg and to pocket one of the last qualifying places for the Lacoste Ladies Open of France, taking place from 2 to 5 October at the Chantaco golf course.

Note that the three places at stake next week will be offered to the winner of the Generali Ladies Tour general classification, to the best non-exempt French proette (within the limit of the top 15) as well as to the best tricolor amateur (in the limit of the top 10).

French chances are headed for Ariane PROVOT, 9th overall, Mélodie BOURDY (15th), Marion DUVERNAY (23rd). On the amateur side, Eva GILLY (17th) retains a chance to compete in her 2nd national open if there is a good performance next week in Alsace.
