Ten years after having celebrated its centenary, the French Open is now preparing to experience its hundredth edition. First played in 1906, the tournament is the oldest national open in continental Europe, and has since taken place without interruption, with the exception of periods of war (1915-19 and 1940-45). Listed on the calendar of the European circuit since its creation in 1972, it attracts the elite of European and world golf every year, as evidenced by its prestigious record.

From June 30 to July 3, 156 players will compete for a prize of 3,5 million euros and crucial points in the qualifying rankings for the Olympic Games (August 11-14) and the Ryder Cup (September 30- October 2). The main headliners will be announced in the weeks and months to come, but an exceptional line-up is already expected to test the new course of the Albatross. The track will reopen in the spring, after eight months of major works intended to make it a test at the height of the Ryder Cup, a biennial meeting between the twelve best European players and their American counterparts, which it will host in two and a half years. .

Tickets to attend 100e French Open were put on sale from February 16 on the tournament website (www.opendefrance.fr). Many formulas - daily tickets or packs of several days - at different levels of service - classic or premium - will be available initially for licensees of the French Golf Federation, then for the general public. In addition, four major periods spread from February to June will allow buyers to win advantages, such as access to the Players Lounge for two people, via raffles.
