After the double against Guingamp, Neymar Jr. will be expected this Friday against Saint-Etienne on the grounds of the Parc des Princes in Paris. But it is on a less expected ground that the player is also talking about him: that of solidarity.

On August 15, the Brazilian footballer became the new ambassador for Handicap International, at an event in Geneva, Place des Nations. Through this partnership, Neymar Jr puts his immense popularity at the service of the most vulnerable.

"I would like to thank you for everything you do to make the forgotten people of this world visible, to make the invisible visible," he addressed to the leaders of the NGO. "I hope this partnership will be a success, and that we will be able to help a large number of people."

It is at height that this historic partnership for the NGO began, Tuesday, August 15, place des Nations in Geneva. The footballer climbed to the top of the Broken Chair monument * and sent a message to the nations of the world, calling on them to include more people with disabilities in society. Symbolically, this message took the form of a football marked with the Handicap International logo, drawn in the aisle of flags located in front of the Palais des Nations, from the top of the Broken Chair.

More generally, Neymar Jr has made the choice to commit to Handicap International and to promote all of its actions in favor of disabled people in poor countries, victims of natural disasters and conflicts.

The star and the NGO met on the issue of fitting amputee children, which is a dear issue for the footballer and on which he had already committed. "Neymar Jr. sought to support actions on the subject on a global scale and discovered at the beginning of 2016 our work alongside the most vulnerable" explains Manuel Patrouillard, director general of the NGO. "It is the meeting of two very different universes but which have the same concern: support for the most vulnerable people" rejoices the head of the association.

In the coming months, Neymar has expressed the wish to go to the field to see the association's projects.
