The players of the Ladies European Tour stop this week in Italy for the Ladies Italian Open. This par 72 of 5656 meters will welcome players over three laps for a total prize money of €200.

We all remember the beautiful story written in 2021 by Lucie Malchirand during this Ladies Italian Open, where she had won her first victory in a professional tournament while still an amateur player. At only 18, she had the guts to birdie two of her last two holes to win and lift this trophy in Italy. Having turned professional since this coronation, the young Frenchwoman is installed on the Ladies European Tour, a circuit where she has signed for the moment in 2022, a top 15 and a top 30.

Nine French women will be present during this week in Piemonte:

  • Emie peronnin
  • Julie Maisongrosse
  • Patricia beliard
  • Anne-Charlotte Mora
  • Anais Meyssonnier
  • Marion Duvernay
  • Emily Alonso
  • Camille Chevalier
  • Alexandra bonetti

The Race to Costa Del Sol standings are still dominated by three Swedes, namely Maja Stark, Johanna Gustavsson and Linn Grant. Between them, they have three victories and seven podiums at the start of 2022 on the European circuit.

The first Frenchwoman in the ranking of the European Order of Merit remains Agathe Sauzon in 24th position, closely followed by Emma Grechi who ranks 26th.
