Manon Gidali signed her first professional title after two play-off holes, thanks to a last 8m putt at the Cape Town Ladies Open, the opening tournament counting for the South African circuit, Sunshine Ladies Tour.

Although Manon Gidali started the 2020 season with conditional status on the Ladies European Tour, the Parisian took advantage of just nine starts to reach a career 33rd place in the Costa del Sol race in 2020 -

She is the 13th international player and the fourth French player to experience success since the creation of the Sunshine Ladies Tour launched in 2014. In 2019, Marion Duvernay and Flora Peuch combined for victory in the Serengeti Team Championship and Anne-Lise Caudal, winner of the LET, won the Jabra Ladies Classic title at Glendower in 2019.
Gidali has chosen to star in the Sunshine Ladies Tour series in order to prepare for his first full season in Europe in 2021.

The other French women in contention finished outside the top 10. With a final card of 77 (+3) Émie Peronnin ranks 12th, while Anne-Lise Caudal (75) takes 19th place, Alexandra Bonetti (80) la 25th and Astrid Vayson de Pradenne (79) the 27th.

The South African circuit includes five more dates over the next five weeks, the last being the South African Open co-sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour.

Next meeting: The R600 Jabra Ladies Classic from April 000 to 14 offers the non-exempt LET leader a place at the Jabra Ladies Open - the qualifying event for the fourth Major, the Amundi Evian Championship at Evian Resort Golf Club in July.
