At just 18 years old, the New Zealander imposes her domination on the women's world circuit and has a series of successes. Ko with a total of 276 (-12) was suddenly ahead of the English Charley Hull and the South Korean Chun In-gee, tied for 2nd with a total of 277. The American Lexi Thompson, in the lead since the 2nd round, had to settle for 5th place (279).

The new face of the Evian brand won on the wire its twelfth LPGA trophy and its second Major title, thanks to a final putt for birdie on the 18th.

Since Scottish golfer Tom Morris in 1869 and Gene Sarazen in 1922, no one had ever won two Majors at 18. Records continue to rain for the Seoul native with a tenth title in 24 months and the second in two weeks!
