The LPGA Tour season is coming to an end and will be closed, as every year, by the CME Group Tour Championship. After the first two rounds of the last event of the season, Lydia Ko is at the top of the leaderboard thanks to a total of -13. The former world number 1 signs cards of 65 (-7) then 66 (-6) for her first two rounds. Currently leader of the Race to CME Globe, Lydia Ko is in the best position to start the last weekend of the year. She could claim the double: victory in the CME Group Tour Championship and win the Race to CME Globe.

Hyo Joo Kim (COR) is in second position on the leaderboard with a total of -8. She will be associated with the leader during the last part of the moving day but will therefore be five strokes behind.

The podium is completed by Nasa Hataoka, Anna Nordqvist, Nelly Korda and Gemma Dryburgh, all four tied at -7.

Céline Boutier, the only Frenchwoman entered in this CME Group Tour Championship, is in 26th position. The French number 1 returns two cards of 71 (-1) for her first rounds, and is therefore eleven shots from the head.
