Ko won in front of Minjee Lee at the first playoff hole on eagle, the former first world player is back at the top of the leaderboard after two years without a win. Five days after celebrating her 21st birthday, The New Zealander lifted her third title at Lake Merced Golf Club.

Ko returned a final 71 (-1) card to join Lee at the top of the minus -12 ranking, which ended with a solid 68.

« It's amazing I was at +3 after six holes, reported Ko. But I said to myself + Concentrate, everything is still possible + and I managed to play very well on the return and when that putt fell…. Oh my God ! It was the putt, from victory to the 73rd hole with a fantastic eagle which could even have ended up in albatross with a little more success.

Performing since the beginning of the year, on the Australian and LPGA circuits, the Australian Minjee Lee at almost 22 years old is making her best start to the season, with a fifth top 10 in 2018.
