The LPGA Tour is postponing a new tournament in 2021, the CP Women's Open due to restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Golf Canada and CP continued to monitor guidelines set by federal, provincial and municipal authorities to prevent the spread of the virus in the community. Physical factors, including restrictions on international travel and mandatory quarantine, as well as limitations on group gatherings in the province of British Columbia, ultimately forced the event to be postponed in Shaughnessy until 2021.

As the main sponsor of the CP Women's Open, CP is committed to raising charitable funds in the community hosting the event through the campaign. "CP Has Heart" in favor of children's heart health. The BC Children's Hospital Foundation was previously named the Primary Charity Partner of the CP Women's Open 2020 and will continue in that capacity in 2021.

The 2021 CP Women's Open at Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club will mark the sixth time the province of British Columbia has hosted the Canada Women's Open Championship, the last time being in 2015 at the Vancouver Golf Club, where Lydia Ko won her third title. of the CP Women's Open.

The 2020 event was originally scheduled for August 31 through September 6. The board of directors and members of Shaughnessy quickly decided to focus on hosting the stars of the LPGA Tour from August 23-29, 2021.

Buyers of corporate hospitality services will be contacted by their Golf Canada sales representative over the next few days to plan for the future in 2021. Individual ticket purchases made through Ticketmaster may be refunded within the next 30 days or may be postponed to the 2021 event.
