The tournament will return to the Gary Player Course at the DLF Golf and Country Club in Gurugram for the 14th edition in October 2021.

Ms. Kavita Singh, President of the Women's Golf Association of India, said:

“It was a very difficult decision, but the right one under the current circumstances of the ongoing pandemic. As it is unlikely that there will be any respite in the foreseeable future, it is of the utmost importance to safeguard the health and well-being of all players, officials and spectators. "

“I would like to thank Dr. Pawan Munjal, President and CEO of Hero MotoCorp Ltd. for its sponsorship, and the Ladies European Tour for its advice and support. Together with our sponsors including DLF, Castrol and others, we hope to return next year with another exceptional edition of the Hero Women's Indian Open in October 2021. ”

Alexandra Armas, Director General of LET, said:

“It is incredibly disappointing to miss a year of the Hero Women's Indian Open, one of the biggest professional women's golf events on the tour. But we can't wait to come back next year. It was a difficult decision for all parties involved, but we believe it is the most responsible course of action after consultation with all stakeholders. "

“I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank the President of WGAI, Ms. Kavita Singh, and Dr. Pawan Munjal, the driving forces behind the growth of this event and the development of professional women's golf in India, for their continued commitment. We look forward to continuing to increase the stature of this event in 2021. ”

The Hero Women's Indian Open has been held annually since 2007. It was co-sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET) in 2010 and has become part of the LET calendar. The tournament has been held at the DLF Golf and Country Club, in Gurugram, every year except in 2013 and 2014 when the course was redeveloped. The reigning champion is the Austrian Christine Wolf.
