Iceland's Valdis Thora Jonsdottir followed her impressive first day at 63 with a (-1) lead under par 70 to be two strokes ahead after day two of the Women's New South Wales Open presented by Worrells on Friday.

Karolin Lampert, the rising star of the German team, had the best lap of the day with her card of 65. This score equaled that of Lynn Carlsson (65) and the Swede is tied for third place. with defending champion Meghan MacLaren, who had a 66 (-5) at Queanbeyan Golf Club.

The French Astrid Vayson de Pradenne is still in the top 10 in 9th place tied with the Belgian Manon de Roey and the English Felicity Johnson, 5 strokes behind the leader with a card of 72 (-4).
