The Stars of the Ladies European Tour are set to make golf history this week by participating in Saudi Arabia's first-ever professional women's tournaments, taking place in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC).

Held at the Royal Greens Golf and Country Club, on the Red Sea coast near Jeddah, seven days of high-level women's golf will see the organization of the first two world-class tournaments: The first round is one of the most important endowments of the Ladies European Tour of the Year with $ 1 million, the second Saudi Ladies international team, running and endowed with $ 500 and will be contested November 000-17.

The eight Frenchwomen at the start of the Aramco Saudi Ladies International are: Isabelle Boineau, Camille Chevalier, Marion Duvernay, Manon Gidali, Céline Herbin, Anne-Charlotte Mora, Agathe Sauzon, Astrid Vayson de Pradenne. Justine dreher is in 3rd position on the waiting list.

Headlining the events are English duo Georgia Hall and Charley Hull - top players who have won multiple awards, including in the 2019 Solheim Cup winning team.

“It's huge for Saudi Arabia to have the first women's professional event here,” said Hall, 24, and top winner of the 2018 AIG Women's Open.

“It's rare to get the chance to come to a new country and play these days, so it's really a chance to play elsewhere. Events like these can inspire the next generation of young boys and girls here in Saudi Arabia to go out and play.

Both players are impressed with their first glimpse of the Royal Greens Golf & Country Club layout and the challenges it will bring.

Charley Hull said: “The wind tends to pick up in the afternoon which makes it difficult. The 16 next to the Red Sea is one of the prettiest holes I have ever played. I have heard a lot of positive things here on the course. I'm very impressed.

She continued, “It's really cool to be here. I love playing in the Middle East and we have a great opportunity to inspire Saudi women to get started and play golf. With the challenges around the world right now we are really lucky to play and this is one of the biggest prizes of the Tour.

Maha Haddioui, the first professional Arab player on the Tour, is delighted to have the chance to play a new historic event in the Middle East.

“I am really happy and proud to represent my region in the Middle East,” said the 32-year-old Moroccan.

“It's a great tournament, a great statement and it's positive to see women's golf getting more recognition. The fund of the award is a huge statement from Golf Saudi. Winning anywhere would be special, but it would mean so much more to me to win here in an Arab country. I love the course, I love the place and I really feel welcome here.
