Since February 23, 2021, and this tragic car accident, the golf world has been hoping for a return of Tiger Woods, as he had been able to do in 2018. The tiger granted his first words since this departure from the road during an interview for Golf Digest.

Tiger Woods, the greatest player of the modern era, messed up records and fifteen major titles to his name has spoken for the first time since his terrible car accident on February 23, 2021 in Las Vegas. This accident caused him multiple injuries including open fractures on his right leg.

We know that the tiger has had many injuries in his career, affecting his knees, wrists or back and we know that he has managed to play many tournaments in pain. One of the most striking images of this fight against pain is his victory at the 2008 US Open, a victory snatched from an unexpected playoff against Rocco Mediate.

Woods offered us in 2018 with his victory in East Lake, then in early 2019 with his victory in Augusta one of the biggest comebacks in the history of sport. This tragedy once again puts obstacles between Woods and his quest for eighteen titles in major.

After posting a few images on social networks, on a crutch with his dog, then following his son Charlie on a junior competition, we were finally able to see a swing of our idol. This post made the golf world roar, giving rise to many rumors about a potential return of the former world number 1.

This week he gave an interview of about thirty minutes to the American media Golf Digest. Tiger Woods addresses many themes such as the return to the highest level, how he feels since the accident or the bond he has with his son.

“I think it's realistic to play on the tour once in a while, never every week again, but pick certain tournaments and play them, like Mr Hogan did. Pick and choose a few events per year and prepare for it. "

“You have to train around that and motivate yourself for these goals. I think that's how I should play now. This is unfortunately the reality, but it is my reality, I understand it and I accept it. "

“I don't have to fight and play against the best players in the world to have a good life. After my vertebrae fusion, I had to climb Everest again. I had to do it and I did it. This time around I don't think I have the body to climb Everest, and that's it. I can still play golf. I can play if my leg is OK, I can play tournaments here and there. But to climb a mountain again and do the whole trip again to get to the top, I don't think that's a realistic goal for me. Tiger Woods announced. He hopes to be able to play golf again and participate in tournaments but how will he approach the tournaments in which he will participate, he who has always done everything to win.

The question that continues to plague the golf world, when will we see Tiger Woods again in a tournament? And at what level?
