Two rounds have already been played in Massachusetts for this US Open 2022, and it is two Americans who occupy the head of the leaderboard: Collin Morikawa and Joël Dahmen. Collin Morikawa, already a double major winner, signs the best Friday card with a 66 (-4) on the difficult Brookline course. The two men share the controls of the tournament with a small step ahead of a car of five pursuers.

Among them is the former winner of the event and winner last week in Canada, Rory McIlroy. After a first round in 67 (-3), the world number 3 signs a new card under par in the second round, a 69 (-1), despite a day that started with a double bogey on hole 3.

Jon Rahm places himself alongside his Ryder Cup partner with a card of 69 (-1) then a card of 67 (-3). The defending champion thus responds by remaining in contact with the leading men.

Scottie Scheffler, the world number 1 ranks 7th, at -3 for the tournament. After a par card to start his tournament on Thursday, he signed a 67 (-3) card at the clubhouse on Friday.

Justin Thomas, winner of the PGA Championship a few weeks earlier, ranks 31st after these first two rounds, he is +1 for the tournament.

End of tournament for Victor Perez

Despite his good form at the moment, Victor Perez will not have managed to pass the Cut in this week of US Open. He ends his tournament at +7 with cards of 73 (+3) and 74 (+4).
