A radiant sun, a festive atmosphere, an exceptional godmother, Denise Vergé, a prestigious guest, Yanou Collart and a record attendance on September 18, 19 and 20 for the 10th anniversary of the Stars of Mougins created in 2006 for Roger Vergé, the 5-star Chef, to whom Mougins owes much of his notoriety.

A record of chefs

Dressed in black jackets bearing the “10 years” logo of the edition, 142 chefs from all walks of life (50 stars) attended and for the majority participated in 130 demonstrations, workshops, multi-hand dinners and other stages in the heart of the village of Mougins transformed for the occasion into a haven of taste.

More than 30 visitors this year came, a record! 000% have already come to the Festival. 64% of those questioned want to come back next year !!!

A tribute to Roger Vergé

A vibrant tribute was paid to Roger Vergé, the emblematic 5-star chef in the presence of his worthy and endearing wife Denise and his daughter Cordélia, who came especially from Boston for the occasion. A fireworks display in apotheosis which illuminated the Mouginian sky with its multiple stars, unaccustomed to such a flood of colors.

An exceptional trophy awarded to Yanou Collart

A colorful moment in tribute to Yanou Collart, stars of the agents of stars, to whom the Mayor of Mougins, Richard Galy presented the Trophée d'Exception des Etoiles de Mougins for all of his action in favor of French Chefs and Europeans for Gastronomy and the Art of Living.
“La Croqueuse de diamant”, a sublime piece of jewelry created and offered by Wil Le Cher, a prestigious jeweler based in Cannes and Mougins, now adorns the neck of the beautiful lady.

An increasingly international festival

In addition to the French chefs from all regions of France, 30 foreign chefs representing 16 countries made the trip for a high-level cultural exchange: the Brazilian delegation led by Ivo Faria, 2-star chef of Vecchio Sagno de Belo Horizonte, the delegation of the Fig and Olive collective led by Wilfrid Hocquet, Executive Chef, and also China, the Arab Emirates, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Morocco, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Russia, Switzerland and Ukraine….

Exceptional participation of the foreign press

The American delegation of the FIG and OLIVE concept was accompanied by 6 journalists representing the biggest media in the USA: The New York Time, Wall Street journal, Delta Sky Magazine, Life ans Thyme Magazine, Elle Magazine and Vogue Turkey. Nice representation of “Russian” media with Russky Mewsweek, Mir Novostei and Konsomolskala Prevda, but also “Italian” media with Gusto Chanel TV and “German” represented by the online-reisejournal.de.

... concocted by the 500 children of schools in Mougins, orchestrated by the Union des Pâtissiers, Chocolatiers et Glaciers des Alpes-Maritimes (Christian Cottard, Bruno Laffargue, Philippe Brito, Emmanuel Giraudo, Pascla Rolfo, Franck Valot, François Ducroux, François Fiers , Serge Serein, Stéphane Saluzzo and Jean Marc Regel) who gives himself without counting every year for the Etoiles de Mougins.

Matthieu GASNIER, from the Faventia restaurant in Terre Blanche wins the coveted International Young Chef Competition "Les Espoirs de Mougins"! with the bonus of a check for 3000 euros from Eberhardt, a check for 1800 euros from Etoiles de Mougins, and one for 400 euros from Ets Miele. On the menu of the competition, the famous Courgette Flower Poupeton by Roger Vergé revisited by the young generation and rated by a jury of disciples of the famous chef under the watchful eye of President Denise Vergé.
