The Auron resort, which celebrates its 2017th anniversary in 80, is organizing the 6th edition " Chefs at the Summit »In partnership with Les Etoiles de Mougins. Created on the initiative of the Association des Commerçants d'Auron and St Etienne de Tinée, thanks to its members who are passionate about gastronomy and befriended many Chefs from the region, this festival was created in February 2012 .

6 years of sharing and culinary happiness !!!

Created at the initiative of the association of Traders of Auron and St Etienne de Tinée, thanks to its members passionate about gastronomy and friendships with many Chefs of the region, this festival was able to see the light of day in February 2012 .

For his 1st edition, many Michelin-starred Chefs had already answered present and appreciated the atmosphere of this event which aims to be friendly with high quality services.

It is also a unique opportunity for renowned Chefs and Pastry chefs, to meet together outside their establishment to share their know-how while having fun on the ski slopes.

A culinary week of high altitude, during which Auron celebrates Gastronomy, thanks to the assistance of the Federation of merchants of the Haute Tinée, the Town Hall of St Etienne de Tinée, the Tourist Office of the Mercantour Resorts, the SEM of the Cimes du Mercantour, the Chamber of Trades of Alpes-Maritimes and Artisans Arts et Délices, as well as many culinary partners.

Building on its previous editions which have been a real success, this 6rd Festival will be orchestrated around the 80th anniversary of the Auron cable car and sponsored by an emblematic chef of the Côte d'Azur, Jacques MAXIMIN, Meilleur Ouvrier de France.

A festive program during which Haute Tinée cuisine will be honored by Chefs who will revisit the ancient recipes of St Etienne de Tinée.

The program :

  • Saturday January 14:
    • Opening of the fair in the presence of the edition's sponsor, Jacques MAXIMIN
    • Amateur cooking competition on the theme "Revisited Stéphanoise cuisine"
    • Cooking demonstrations and children's workshops
  • Sunday January 15th:
    • Show cooking with “Toques Brûlées” live on the slopes
    • Gourmet treasure hunt on the ski area (New)
  • Every evening, from January 14 to 20, the "5 à 7 gourmand" around the ice rink: workshops and demonstrations of cooking, pastry, wine, dietetics, barista and bar.

The chefs and pastry chefs will officiate every evening in 3 restaurants in the resort and in the villages of St Etienne de Tinée and St Dalmas le Selvage. They will offer holidaymakers, seasonal workers and inhabitants of the valley, gastronomic menus in which the products of our mountains will be sublimated for only 45 € (including: appetizer, starter, main course and dessert), and this , in the intimacy and authenticity of the mountains.

A gourmet dinner suspended at an altitude of 2400 m!

The Chefs au Sommet d'Auron appellation takes on its full meaning as a gourmet meal will be offered in the cabins of the legendary Las Donnas cable car which is celebrating its 80th birthday this year.

An unusual setting, decorated with refinement and warmth by the "Dec'Auron" store. Only a privileged few, such as the winners of the cooking competition, will have the immense honor of savoring a menu “suspended” at an altitude of 2400 meters!
