The footage taken on the set of the next film gives a unique behind-the-scenes look, showing Lee Morrison, action scene coordinator and Jess Hawkins, stunt pilot, in action.

Dying Can Wait is the first film to use the new Defender, the latest Land Rover vehicle to feature in the James Bond chase scene. The new Defender has been tested by the expert stunt team of 007 in the most extreme off-piste conditions, demonstrating its nature as a franchiser that nothing can stop.

Designing and coordinating action sequences for the James Bond series puts you in the most demanding frame of mind. We needed the most difficult vehicle to stop to help us deal with the elements, the steepest descents and river crossings, so we chose the new Land Rover Defender. I am very impressed: not only is the Defender back, but it is still very, very superior! - Lee Morrison James Bond Stunt Coordinator

The new Defender has a ground clearance of 291 mm and a world-class off-road architecture providing it with angles of attack, peak and flight of 38, 28 and 40 degrees respectively (in off-road position). It is capable of crossing 900 mm fords, assisted by a Wade program included in the Terrain Response 2 system. Drivers can confidently cross deep fords.

The Land Rover design team worked hand in hand with Chris Corbould, the supervisor of special effects and action scenes in the car, to configure the Defenders for the film. Based on the Defender X in Santorini black, with darker lower guards, 20-inch wheels finished in black and special all-terrain tires, these are the first Defenders to be built in the new Land Rover factory in Nitra, Slovakia .
