From May 19 to 21, the Jabra Ladies Open, an event sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour and the only qualifying tournament for The Amundi Evian Championship, will return to the major course of the Evian Resort Golf Club. An international event that continues its tremendous rise with the arrival this year of Bitstamp as a presenting partner.

A 2022 edition placed under the sign of the Majors

For its sixth edition, the Jabra Ladies Open returns stronger than ever: a field of players composed of the 132 best golfers of the Ladies European Tour, the possibility for the winner to qualify directly for two Major tournaments of the LPGA Tour, a prize-money on the rise with the arrival of a "presenting partner", and above all the ambition to establish itself as one of the main events on the women's golf calendar in France.

A true revealer of talent, the Jabra Ladies Open had highlighted, in 2021, a very young 17-year-old player, Pia Babnik. Brilliant winner of the event, the Slovenian has since reached the summits like with this recent podium during the first Major of the season in the United States. This year, the young champion will have a lot to do to hope to retain her title against top-ranked players, such as the French Lucie Malchirand and Anne-Lise Caudal, to name but a few.

Let's not forget, the challenge of this queen event is threefold: a victory on the European circuit, of course, but also a qualification to enter the field of two major tournaments, The Amundi Evian Championship (from July 21 to 24 2022) and the AIG Women's Open (August 4-7, 2022).

Jabra, a continued investment in women's golf

Jabra, part of the GN group, is today a leading provider of audio and video solutions. Since its creation almost 150 years ago, this company has always aimed to connect people in their work, but also in their leisure time. A vocation that takes on its full meaning after these two very special years.

Since 2014, Jabra has chosen to invest, in a growing and sustainable way, in the world of women's golf. On the one hand with the Jabra Ladies Classic, a tournament of the Sunshine Ladies Tour and organized at the Glendower Golf Club near Johannesburg in South Africa; and on the other hand with the Jabra Ladies Open, a major event on the calendar of the Ladies European Tour.

“Jabra's investment in golf is a great adventure. We have, for almost 10 years, the desire to support French and European women's sport; what we now do every year with two tournaments. The Jabra Ladies Open is a unique opportunity for the players of the Ladies European Tour to play on a Major course – the one which hosts The Amundi Evian Championship from July 21 to 24, 2022 – but also to be received under usually reserved arrangements and conditions. to the elite of world golf. We wish to encourage and promote the development of the champions of tomorrow, by supporting this superb sport and helping to develop the players of the future. » says Jean-Baptiste Pain, Managing Director & Vice President South EMEA at Jabra.
