After a successful launch at the National Velodrome on April 28, the Sites Tour organized by Paris 2024 made a new stopover in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. For the second stage of this unique event, the Golf National hosted the participants. Objective: to provide members of Club Paris 2024 with an immersive experience.

On the occasion of the Tour of Olympic and Paralympic sites launched by Paris 2024 on April 28, at the National Velodrome, the conurbation was once again able to count on its partners to organize the second stage of this tour. Thanks to the mobilization of the French Golf Federation (ffgolf) and the Golf National, members of Club Paris 2024 were able to immerse themselves in the world of golf for a whole day.

Le Golf National, a unique site in the world

Throughout the day of July 1, participants were able to explore the entire site and play golf. From the facilities of the Performance Center to the Albatros course, everyone was able to appreciate, in the shoes of an athlete, the quality of a golf course unique in the world. Privileged discussion times were set up with the athletes and members of the French men's golf team, who for the occasion shared their sporting routine, their passion and their dreams of a medal.

Brice Guyart, twice gold medalist at the Olympic Games in fencing, and Antoinette Nana Djimou, double European champion in the heptathlon, in 2012 and 2014, and double European indoor champion in the pentathlon, in 2011 and 2013 honored for their presence on this extraordinary day.

Jean-Philippe Gatien, Executive Director of Sports de Paris 2024 enthuses: "Another great stage for the Tournée des Sites de Paris 2024 thanks to the mobilization of SaintQuentin-en-Yvelines and the French Golf Federation to introduce the Golf National to members of the Club Paris 2024.

Le Golf National is the only site to have hosted an edition of the Ryder Cup (2018) and which will also see the Olympic events take place in 2024.

At the end of August, the Golf National will also be the scene of the Amateur World Team Championships and then the French Open, which will take place from 22 to 25 September.

SQY, the first Olympic agglomeration community in France
