The 4th edition of L'Open de Saint-François - Guadeloupe Region will take place from May 29 to 31, 2014 on the Saint-François Golf Course, in the Guadeloupe Islands. Laura Flessel is the Godmother of this essential golf event in the Caribbean and the professional world.

The French fencer, double Olympic champion, 6 times world champion and standard bearer of the French team at the London 2012 Olympic Games is the Godmother of the 4th edition of The Saint-François Open - Guadeloupe Region . "La Guêpe", a handicap 44 in golf, will participate in the Pro-Am on May 28 and will be present throughout the week in Saint-François to follow the exploits of the best players in the European Tour ALPS Tours.

“At the end of May, I will be on my native land to support the Saint-François Open. […] We, Guadeloupe sportsmen, have the duty to carry the actions working for the promotion of our marvelous island. I will therefore always be ready to support initiatives that allow our beloved Guadeloupe to shine on the international scene ” she recently told the media.

Organized by TV Sport Events, the Saint-François tournament is an official stage of the Alps Tour. Created in 2001, this professional European tour is considered the best springboard for golfers wishing to join the European Tour. The Saint-François Open will bring together the best players from the Alps Tour and the West Indies. As in previous years, entry is completely free for the duration of the tournament.

Designed by one of the world's greatest architects in the field, Robert Trent Jones, Le Golf international de Saint François offers a course of 5990 meters consisting of 18 holes.

Located by the sea, the golf course benefits from the trade winds and the direction of the winds makes it a constantly renewed course. Its ergonomics are suitable for tourist golf as well as for competition. Completely renovated in 2011, the golf course includes a gourmet restaurant, a driving range and a Club House.
