The professional part, with a field of 156 players, will be played as planned, from February 8 to 14, 2021, and will take place on only two courses: Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill Golf Course.

“We are incredibly grateful for the commitment of our title sponsor AT&T, the corporate partners, the PGA TOUR, the Pebble Beach Company, the Monterey Peninsula Country Club and the volunteer community. While we will truly regret the absence of the actors, musicians, athletes and other amateur participants who make this event so special, we are happy to continue the professional competition, thus allowing the Foundation to support non-profit associations in the counties. of Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz. Our charitable donations will target basic needs such as food insecurity, education and health inequalities caused by the pandemic. "

Steve John, Tournament Director and CEO of the Monterey Peninsula Foundation

The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, which will celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2021, had previously announced that spectators would not be on site at this year's event. Thanks to the unwavering support of AT&T, the second longest-serving title sponsor of the PGA TOUR, the tournament will continue to maximize charitable contributions in the region. Since 1947, AT & T's Pebble Beach Pro-Am has generated more than $ 176 million for charities in Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz counties.

“While the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am may look different, AT&T is proud to continue to support the Monterey Peninsula Foundation and is committed to ensuring a positive impact on the local charities that benefit each year from tournament proceeds. It is unfortunate that we will not be hosting the amateur portion of the tournament, but the safety of fans, players and volunteers is our top priority. We look forward to welcoming supporters and amateur players again next year. "

Lori Lee, CEO of AT&T Latin America and Head of Global Marketing

In addition, a pro-am will be held on Wednesday morning to support local charitable giving. The Every Shot Counts pro-am will allow participants to contribute to the awarding of grants by targeting four key initiatives. Just like “Every Shot Counts,” every dollar donated will be invested by the Monterey Peninsula Foundation in critical areas caused by the pandemic. For the past five months, the PGA TOUR has successfully hosted the Wednesday pro-ams, which are an integral part of tournament week. With a limited number of amateur participants, the pro-am is conducted according to a comprehensive health and safety plan, including COVID-19 testing.
