20160411_HopAirFrance_RelanceLaNavette_01A deficit reduced by half and an activity that is doing well

For the past year, all short-haul flights in France and nearby Europe have been operated by HOP teams! Air France. After a major restructuring of the offer carried out between 2013 and 2015, the results of the activity show that the deficit was halved between 2014 and 2015, after having already been halved between 2012 and 2014. HOP! Air France offered 19 million seats in 2015, with an average occupancy rate of 72,3%.

The first quarter of 2016 improved compared to 2015 thanks to the increase in revenues and cost control, the short-haul activity of HOP! Air France is doing well. The results show that customers appreciate the implementation of this new commercial offer. In addition, the efforts made to improve the punctuality of flights, with 58,6% punctuality at 0 minutes, as well as the work in progress at stopovers also contribute to controlling the costs of the activity.

It is in this context that Frédéric Gagey and Lionel Guérin presented the new commercial offers which will be launched in 2016.

The New Shuttle, the plane that will change your mind on the plane

Created in 1996, the Shuttle is a unique product in Europe with its 100 million passengers transported. Building on this success and sustainability, the Shuttle is getting a facelift for its 20th anniversary, in line with the commercial strategy of reviving HOP's short-haul activity! Air France conducted for a year.

The Paris Orly-Montpellier line is in addition to the four existing lines between Paris-Orly and Toulouse, Bordeaux, Marseille and Nice. With these 5 destinations, the Shuttle will now operate nearly 1000 flights per week.

By the end of the year and for all of these five routes, a fully digital route will be rolled out. Thanks to the work carried out with the various airports concerned, the Shuttle planes should be positioned at the same boarding gates and in the same halls. Thus, a SkyPriority customer should see their journey between arrival at the airport and the boarding gate reduced to less than 20 minutes.

The Navette product returns to its fundamentals of frequency, flexibility, accessibility, and flexibility. A new customer promise and a new logo have been unveiled. The latter will be visible very soon in the various airports concerned.

In the future, this product, unique in Europe, will spearhead the short-haul business of HOP! Air France.
