After six consecutive editions played at the end of September or the beginning of October at the Golf de Chantaco in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, the Lacoste Ladies Open de France changes date and location in 2018. The tournament, of which we will play the 28th edition since its birth in 1987, will take place this year from September 6 to 9 at the Golf du Médoc Resort. The Girondin club, located in the town of Pian-Médoc north-west of Bordeaux, is therefore becoming the new theater for the national women's open. It is more precisely on the demanding course of the Castles (crowned best course of France 2017 for the 3rd time in 4 years by the World Golf Awards), which notably hosted the men's open of France in 1999 and the final of the Challenge Tour from 2001 to 2004, which the Ladies European Tour players will unravel.

In addition, the date of the tournament is brought forward by one month compared to previous years.
Another novelty, the field, in which we will find the European elite and the best Tricolores, goes from 78 to 108 players. It could also benefit from the presence of players from across the Atlantic, since no LPGA Tour tournament is scheduled that week.

Finally, the overall endowment is increased from 250 to 275 euros, thanks in particular to the renewed support of the main sponsors of the event. Lacoste, title partner, and Richard Mille, major partner, have indeed extended their engagement with the promoter Amaury Sport Organization (ASO until 000. In parallel, the Tournament will be, for 2021 more years, linked to the Ladies European circuit Tour (LET), the agreement between ASO and LET having also been renewed.

Thierry Guibert, President of the LACOSTE group: “We are pleased to renew our partnership with the Lacoste Ladies Open in France and to increase our participation in its success and its reputation. The high visibility of this tournament is a tremendous lever for the promotion of our golf collections in France and in Europe. "

Jean-Baptiste Durier - Director of the Lacoste Ladies Open de France: “We are delighted to see Lacoste and Richard Mille renew their confidence until 2021. This visibility will allow us to continue to grow, together, the tournament, with this year a wider field of players and an increased prize money. "
