Co-leader on Thursday evening thanks to a card of 64 (-9), Jon Rahm was left behind on Friday and Saturday by the American Collin Morikawa. The Spaniard managed a spectacular comeback, as he started seven strokes behind the double major winner on Sunday. With his card of 63 (-10), Jon Rahm wins the Sentry Tournament of Champions, his 8th victory on the PGA Tour.

Like every year, the Sentry Tournament of Champions brings together the champions of the 2022 PGA Tour season. Each edition of the Tournament of Champions has its rain of birdies and spectacular shots in store for us.

We have long believed in the coronation of Collin Morikawa, leader at the start of the last lap with six strokes ahead of his closest pursuers. His game had however started well with three birdies on his first six holes. Unfortunately, he won't sign any more birdies except for an anecdotal 4 on the par 5 of 18. Morikawa struggled from 14 to 16 signing three consecutive bogeys.

Jon Rahm meanwhile was unfolding. After his bogey at 1, Jon Rahm was a real steamroller, he signed nine birdies and an eagle, and his return to -6 destroyed Collin Morikawa's chances.

The Spaniard, former world number 1, therefore adds a new success to his record at the start of 2023 by winning the Sentry Tournament of Champions. It is the first Spanish victory in this event since Sergio Garcia in 2002. Note that Jon Rahm had already finished second in 2018, and last year a shot behind Cameron Smith.

Tom Hoge and Max Homa complete the podium with the same total of -23. Tom Hoge signs a card of 64 (-9) with two bogeys. His putter was on fire this Sunday since his putt average after a green hit in regulation is 1,4!
