In contact for many months, the French Golf Federation (ffgolf) signed an agreement on Tuesday March 9, 2021 with the Colosse aux pieds d'Argile association for the duration of the new federal mandate 2021-2024.

The objective of this agreement is to set an action plan with awareness-raising, prevention and training operations on the risks of sexual violence and hazing among players in the world of golf (managers, club educators, coaches, parents, etc. volunteers, young licensees etc.).

The Steering Committee of the ffgolf is committed with determination to fight against violence against minors and is part of the national movement initiated by the sports movement. In this context, a first training of Colossus with feet of clay was held last December at the National Training Center of the Golf National.

Created in 2013, the Colosse aux pieds d'Argile association was born from the personal story of Sébastien Boueilh, a former rugby player and victim of a pedophile aged 12 to 16. After eighteen years of silence and following the trial of his attacker, Sébastien decided to found Colosse aux pieds d'Argile to prevent and educate all players in the sports movement about sexual violence.

Recognized as a public utility, the association's missions are prevention and awareness of the risks of sexual violence, hazing and harassment, the training of professionals supervising children, support and assistance to victims. She works both for the protection of children and supervisors.

In 7 years of combat, the association has sensitized 200 children and more than 000 sports clubs. It also supported and directed 10 victims and received more than 000 testimonies, a quarter of which were in sports.

“The new Steering Committee of the ffgolf is continuing the work initiated by our Ethics Committee to promote the prevention and fight against sexual violence in golf. Our first partnership with Colosse aux pieds d'Argile is a continuation and for the next 4 sports seasons 2021/2024.

Our ambition is to promote the freedom of the victims' voice and to provide, with recognized professionals, support and training for the entire industry, from the golf school to the highest level including paragolf.

Any sports discipline bringing together children is affected by this social scourge and we hope that the federal policy with the new integrity control of volunteers will reassure parents who entrust their children to our golf schools and high performance centers for a healthy education, sports and leisure. "

Pascal Grizot, President of the French Golf Federation

“I am delighted to count the French Golf Federation among the structures that are committed to working alongside us in order to raise awareness and encourage freedom of speech. The ambitious action plan, defined within the framework of this agreement, confirms the will to act for the protection of licensees under the age of majority, athletes and supervisors of the Federation to jointly curb this scourge. "
