Rolex Ambassador Jon Rahm was crowned champion of the 2017 DP World Tour Championship in Dubai, which is the culmination of the Race To Dubai and Rolex Series championship.

The victory marks the third in the 23-year-old professional's career, including the Irish Open last June, which was also part of the Rolex Series.

Moving up to fourth place in the official world golf ranking, the Spaniard started his final round in second place, thanks to the first laps of 69, 68 and 65; he finished the fourth round with a card of 67 to win the tournament at (-19).

The victory also marks a week in which Rahm was awarded the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year award earlier this week, following in the footsteps of fellow Rolex Ambassadors José María Olazábal (1986), Colin Montgomerie (1988) , Thomas Bjørn ( 1996), Paul Casey (2001), Martin Kaymer (2007) and Brooks Koepka (2014).
