Authors

Jean Van de Velde is a French golfer born in Mont de Marsan, who started his professional career in 1987. His notoriety goes far beyond France, notably for his second place at the British Open at Carnoustie but also for having been the first French to triumph on the European circuit, before being the first tricolor selected in the Ryder cup.

His record: N ° 1 French 11 times - Professional French Champion in 1998; First French selected in the Ryder Cup (1999) - 2 victories on the European Tour (1993, 2006).

He now divides his life between Hong Kong, where he resides, and Paris where he directs the French Open. From 2016, he will make his comeback on the Senior Tour alternating events in the USA and in Europe.

Éric Douennelle has been president of PGA France, the association of French professional players and teachers, since January 2007. He is also the director of the PGA training center and the swing coach of Jean Van De Velde. Eric was a collaborator for Golf magazine, he is now a consultant for Golf Journal and also directs the technical journal Practice.
