The 27-year-old American, from South Dakota, played her second round this morning at the 13th Beach Creek Course, clocking 6 birdies and an eagle with a beautiful 66 (- 7).

In second place we find the Japanese star Haru Nomura 11 under par, followed by the Victorian Su Oh (-10), alone in third position just three shots from the leader.

Karrie Webb will start the weekend in a tie for 5th after pulling a superb 7 under par 65 on the Beach Course this afternoon to end up at -7 for the tournament as a whole. Webb hadn't been to a professional tournament since the Ricoh Women's British Open seven months ago, but she showed all her class in front of the grand stands at 13th Beach, giving them a most perfect golf spectacle.
