In Gee Chun takes off, Roussin-Bouchard and Boutier 30th
Author of an exceptional first round in 64 (-8), In Gee Chun takes the lead of the leaderboard of this KPMG Women's PGA Championship with five strokes ahead of her first pursuers. Céline Boutier and Pauline Roussin-Bouchard are 30th with scores of +1, four strokes behind second place.
The third major of the season is launched and this first round of the KPMG Women's PGA Championship was marked by the superb card of Korean In Gee Chun. She signs a card of 64 (-8) with nine birdies for a bogey. This performance allows her to count five strokes ahead at the start of the second round, on a duo of pursuers.
Pornanong Phatlum and Tye-Jin Choi are second with cards of 69 (-3).
In sixth position, we find defending champion Nelly Korda, author of a card of 71 (-1). Another former winner of the event stands alongside Nelly Korda, Brooke M. Henderson, who lifted the trophy in 2016, also plays a shot under par.

The three-time winner of the Inbee Park event and the world number 1 Jin Young Ko are placed in 15th position in the PAR.
Our first two Frenchwomen Céline Boutier and Pauline Roussin-Bouchard, take the 30th position after this first round of the KPMG Women's PGA Championship. Céline Boutier signs two bogeys for one birdie while Pauline Roussin-Bouchard signs three bogeys for two birdies. Although our two French women are nine strokes from the lead, the leader having widened the gap, they are only four strokes from second place.
Agathe Laisné places herself behind them with a card of 74 (+2). She is 50th.
Perrine Delacour ranks 72nd at +3, for the moment beyond the limit of the CUT (+2).
