Located in the heart of the 5th arrondissement, the Hôtel Les Dames du Panthéon is a true ode to femininity where the history of “the Ladies” charms guests. The boudoir bar and some rooms offer an exceptional view of the Pantheon and transport residents into the world of the most iconic women through the centuries. The third floor pays homage to George Sand.

Novelist, playwright, letter writer and literary critic, George Sand is one of the most prolific writers of the 19th century. This woman of conviction who advocates passion, defends women and fights against the prejudices of a formerly conservative society will also have marked this century through her volcanic relationship with the poet and playwright, Alfred de Musset.

Valérie Manoïl, architect and interior designer, was inspired by the Château de Nohant, the historic home of George Sand, to create the third floor of the Hôtel des Dames du Panthéon.

There is a decoration mixing the classic style of the 19th century as well as Art Nouveau.

The atmosphere is dark, black predominates with some touches of gold and floral fabrics.

The Art Nouveau movement is one of curves and arabesques, freely inspired by nature. It is expressed through sumptuous embroidered dyes, flowery silk from GP & JBaker ...

The influences of the 19th century and its baroque style are found in the brocade of linen and silk typical of this century edited by Dedard or in brass mesh furniture and bronze furniture handles in Louis XIV style.

The immersion in the world of George Sand continues up to the ceiling. The baroque and floral wallpapers, by Cole & Son and Osborne & little, used in the beam, directly refer to “French-style” ceilings. The architect has transcribed through the decoration of the rooms, the two facets, both masculine and feminine, of the novelist.
