Like every year, Tiger Woods welcomes a reduced player field in its tournament in the Bahamas: the Hero World Challenge. With a total score of -18, it's finally  Viktor Hovland who wins one step ahead of Scottie Scheffler.

The Hero World Challenge and in particular the last round will have offered us a spectacle! Leader at the start of the last lap with five strokes in advance, Collin Morikawa seemed firmly established in first place and all observers predicted a victory for the world number two.

Golf, however, is difficult to predict. After two double bogeys and a go to +5, the double winner in major quickly shot himself in the foot while his opponents chained the good shots. His last lap in 76 (+4) will be fatal for him to claim victory. He finished fifth at -14.

It is ultimately Viktor Hovland who pockets the title. Despite his two bogeys on holes 17 and 18 (and another at 12), the Norwegian played 66 (-6) on the last round. The turning point of the tournament was a sequence of two eagles on holes 14 and 15 allowing him to take the lead at -19.

He finally finished the tournament at -18 to keep one step ahead of Scottie Scheffler. He added the Hero World Challenge to his young record and received the trophy from the hands of the host: Tiger Woods.

He thus won his fourth victory on the PGA Tour at just 24 years old. The young Norwegian passes with this victory from 9th to 7th place in the world ranking.

The card of the day, equaling the best card of the week, was returned by Justin Thomas. The Louisville-born player is playing 64 (-8) with eight birdies, one eagle, for two bogeys. He thus entered the top 5 at -14.

Another striking image of this last round, Henrik Stenson and Jordan Spieth each received two penalty strokes after having mistaken the teeing ground and the wrong hole. The two men finished respectively penultimate and last and preferred to laugh at the situation in the interview than to cry.
