A new name for the 21st edition

The Hauts-de-France region provides support to develop golf and promote access for all residents. The Open, which continues to develop and innovate, this year takes on a new identity giving it a new dimension and an additional reputation.

A European first

The “Hauts-de-France Golf Open” welcomes, for this 21st edition and for the first time in Europe, a player with a handicap within the competition. Manuel de Los Santos, originally from the Dominican Republic, will thus be the first disabled player to compete in a European Challenge Tour tournament, without any specific arrangements or assistance on the course. This is also what the Hauts-de-France Region wishes to support and highlight through its partnership with the Open.

Club of the year 2016

The “Hauts-de-France Golf Open” will take place from June 15 to 18 on the internationally renowned golf course, the Aa Saint-Omer Golf Club, elected “Club of the year 2016” thanks to the quality of its course, the reception and accessibility of the facilities.

The Val course, inaugurated in 1990, will welcome 156 registered players from 27 different nationalities. Second French tournament behind the French Open, the "Hauts-de-France Golf Open" will take place over 4 rounds of 18 holes, with a qualification for the best 60 players after 2 rounds.
