The Tour is made up of a series of specific or BFG Tour labeled competitions, co-organized by the clubs and BFG Tour, which take place under the conditions described below.

At the end of each competition, “BT $” will be awarded according to their ranking. A ranking based on the cumulative BT $ for each event will be updated and published on the site www.bornforgolftour.com after each week of competition.

Categories, Distances and Number of Holes to Play

The age categories, as well as the distances of the courses to be played and the number of holes are determined as follows:

These distances are indicative and can be adjusted according to the particularities of each terrain.

* A child is in the category of the age he will be on December 31 of the current year. Upgrading from one category to another is not allowed.

Game formula

The formula of play is Strokeford for all age categories, i.e. Stroke Play with the 10 stroke rule if the player hits more than 10 strokes on a hole, he will be asked to lift his ball and note 10 on his score card.

Conditions of Participation

In order to appear in the BFG Tour classification and participate in the competitions, in addition to the conditions described in the paragraph "Being a Member of BornForGolf Tour", young people must have returned at least one score card on an 18T or 9T approved course giving a lower classification. or equal to index 53,5.

If a player does not meet the above conditions, his card cannot be taken into account in the BFG Tour Ranking. This condition is applicable both before and after the competition.

The choice of the circuit

Each year, when renewing their Membership, players are asked to choose a circuit to belong to. This choice is important because it offers a priority of 7 days at the time of registration compared to BFG Tour members of other circuits.

Allocation of BT $ and Ranking

The Ranking is based on the accumulation of BT $ won on each BFG Tour competition. However, only the 6 best results of a player will be retained in the ranking, allowing him to change his earnings by replacing the result.

At the end of each competition, the BFG Tour Ranking will be updated and each member will be able to consult his ranking, based on the cumulative gains obtained. These gains will be valued with a “fictitious” currency called BT $. In order to win BT $, an endowment will be awarded to each of the 5 age categories (U8, U10, U12, U14 and U16) according to the number of participants (girls and boys combined), as follows:

In other words, for example, if for competition X on category U12, the number of participants at the start is 14, the endowment for this category is 2'000'000 BT $ ^.

BFG Tour Series

In the context of the BFG Tour Series, a coefficient of 1,5 is applied to the endowments in BT $.
This gives the following allocation scale, the breakdown remaining identical to the other four BFG Tour competitions.

Breakdown of BT $

Once the endowment has been defined, the distribution of the winnings allocated to the players will be carried out as follows, depending on the position reached by the player in his or her category.

A BT $ Ranking will be drawn up at the end of each competition and the gains in BT $ will be accumulated throughout the current season, a season corresponding to a calendar year.

There will be 5 separate rankings, one for each mixed boys and girls category.

However, even if the endowment and the breakdown of earnings is done on a mixed category, it will be possible to show for all categories, a boys classification and a girls classification.

The Grand Final

Are selected in each category:

  • The top 15 in the General Ranking.
  • If they are not already in the Top 15, the first 3 girls of the General Ranking having participated in at least 3 BFG Tour competitions of the current season, and appearing at least in the Top 25 of the Ranking.
  • If they are not already in the Top 15, the first of each local circuit having participated in at least 3 BFG Tour competitions of the current season, and appearing at least in the Top 25 of the Ranking.
  • After applying these special categories, the qualifications will be done by going up the ranking, with a maximum quota of players in each category, quota established in proportion to the number of members in this same category.

The breakdown is as follows in 2018:

  • U8: maximum 18 players
  • U10: maximum 21 players
  • U12: maximum 24 players
  • U14: maximum 24 players
  • U16: maximum 18 players

In case of withdrawal of a player, in the basic quota, then the selection naturally goes up in the Ranking.

If it is a withdrawal from a special category, BFG Tour grants itself the right to dispose of this invitation for a player in the Ranking, or by going up naturally in the order of the ranking.

Prize giving and Podium

A prize-giving ceremony will be organized at the end of the events and the first 3, girls and boys in each category, will be awarded. In the event of a tie, the players will then be decided on the last 9/6/3 holes, in order to establish a podium on the day of the competition, regardless of the points counting for the BFG Tour classification, as explained above.
