Xavier Poncelet takes control of the Grand Prix Schweppes PGA 2015, thanks to a card of 64 (-7), at the end of a full day of rebounding. Indeed, after a go in 36 (+1) the player coached by Benoit Teilleria managed the trifle of five birdies and an albatross on his last 9 holes.

A feat achieved on hole number 10, thanks to an exceptional iron stroke 3 which would finish its course directly in the hole. The player from the Bordeaux region shows his advantage on the very selective course of the Castles. On the strength of his victory at the Arcachon Open on March 22, Xavier Poncelet seems armed to mingle in the final victory.

David Antonelli also left his mark on this first day of the tournament. The player from Saint-Etienne who plays on the Pro Golf Tour has signed a card of 66 (-5), which allows him to score alone in second place in the ranking.

On the evening of this first round, four players share third place in the ranking thanks to a 67 (-4) card, among them we find Raphaël Jacquelin. The European Tour player, who relaunched this event with the support of Schweppes in 2009, had an excellent day which placed him in ambush. The current French number three, should still be at the forefront this week to try to lift this trophy which has eluded him for too long.

On the ladies' side, Marie Fourquier takes control of the female classification thanks to a first round in 71 (Par). The niece of Jean-François Lucquin slightly marked time after a start of smashing game: three birdies on the first three holes.
